1st Birthdays

Even though I'm officially on maternity leave, I have kept busy photographing a few clients with big milestones during the months of May and June.  These two cuties both turned 1 in May and came to see me on the same day.  Both kiddos were adorable and a lot of fun.  Mr. Handsome got to try out my "new" old trunk...perfect for little boys don't you think?  And Miss Beautiful had fun making a mess with some pink cupcakes. Her birthday party theme was based on the book Pinkalicious, so she wore her Pinkalicious dress to get messy in.  

 

 

 

 

 

Austin

My last post was the night before I was checking into the hospital to have the baby.  All went well and we welcomed Austin Kenneth into our world at 2:38pm on Friday May 8.  He was a wopping 9 lbs 7oz!  We are adjusting to having a baby in the house again and are very exhausted as a result. :) But he is a sweetie.  Sydney is doing great as a new big sister and is very protective of "her baby".  Here are some pictures my talented friend Aimee did for us last week, as well as a few of my own. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Final night as a mom of 1

It's official...I'm checking into the hospital tomorrow morning at 6am to be induced.  Hopefully by tomorrow night I will be a mom of 2!  What a great Mother's Day gift.  Thanks everyone for your thoughts and well-wishes.  I covet your prayers for tomorrow that everything will go smoothly.  Also, there are some possible health concerns with this little guy that we won't know more about until after he's born, so please keep him in your prayers as well.  To all my Little Miracles members with milestones during May and June, I'll be in touch as soon as possible about scheduling sessions for your little ones.  Thank you all for your patience and understanding.  I'm looking forward to a bit of a break to focus on my family and will get back in the swing of things with photography later on this summer.  Be on the look out for some newborn images!!

Sarah

Finally I'd like to share about Sarah, another high school senior.   I was beginning to wonder if I would ever meet Sarah originally....I think the first time I talked to her mom about doing her senior portraits was Thanksgiving weekend.  After that we had to reschedule the session about 3 or 4 times.  The original date was set for January, and every date we set would be met with one of those random cold snaps that we had for the first three months of the year.  This Florida girl didn't want her pictures to show her all bundled up for cold weather, which makes complete sense to me!  So we FINALLY met up downtown during spring break.  I'm so glad we didn't give up - Sarah and her mom were so fun to hang with for the afternoon and we got some killer shots.  Sarah, it was a pleasure working with you!  Good luck with graduation and your next chapter in life!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephanie

I'd like you to meet Stephanie...a beautiful high school senior who was another one of the three gorgeous young ladies I had the privilege of photographing this year.  I was especially excited about this session because Stephanie agreed to go to a new location I had been dying to try out....complete with dilapidated barn and everything!  She was such a trooper...braving all the strange bugs that would randomly jump onto us.  It was totally worth it though...as you can tell by these very unique and amazing images.  Thanks so much Stephanie for choosing me!  And good luck with graduation!

 

 

 

 

 

Erica

Before I went on maternity leave, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph 3 very beautiful young ladies.  Erica was the first...she came to see me to have some portraits made for her Quinceanera (like a "sweet 15" party).  I already shared 1 sneak peak back in March.  But here are the rest of the favorites...

 

 

 

 

Baby update

As you can probably tell, I'm trying to get caught up on my blogging before I have this baby.  I am officially due on Thursday the 7th, but the doctor will be checking me on Monday to see if we can induce on Tuesday.   So just trying to wrap things up before this next week starts! I'll keep you all posted!  I'm definitely ready to meet our little boy.

Beautiful sisters

Before Easter I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful girls of a good friend of mine.  Big sister is actually one of Sydney's favorite friends and playmates.  It was fun getting together with this family for a photo shoot instead of a play-date for a change.  These girls are just so beautiful.  It was hard to narrow down my favorites!

 

 

 

I could not believe it when this swan actually stayed in place and "posed" for a portrait.  Love it!

8 month old cutie

Just a quick post of this cute 8 month old.  He actually turns 1 next week - Happy Birthday little man!  I'll see you soon!
